Stroke is a serious, potentially life-threatening medical condition. Itís best described as a sudden attack on the brain. During this attack, the brainís blood supply is interrupted. Because the brain cells are deprived of oxygen and vital nutrients from the blood, they begin to die within minutes. The damage can continue for several days, or it can be swift and fatal.
